Extreme Data Technologies (XDT) is seeking Senior Systems Engineers. The Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining automated installation/testing and supporting the end-to-end infrastructure architecture for directory, virtual directory, and DevOps services. These services are designed to be highly available, robust, resilient and supportable. The Systems Engineer will interface with engineering teams that develop identity and access services as well as sustainment teams that support operational services. The Systems Engineer is responsible for engineering and maintaining Virtual Directory and LDAP servers in a multi-master replicated environment. Performing schema changes/updates, access control changes/updates, adapter changes/updates, and vendor software updates.
8-10 years of related systems engineering experience. TS/SCI Clearance.

- Linux management through the command line and use of command line text editor Linux patching methods and procedures (Especially Red Hat)
- Experience using a ticket management system (Example: JIRA, Remedy, HP Service Manager)
- Volume Management
- DNS configuration and troubleshooting
- Security hardening
- Performance tuning
- Network troubleshooting: Network configuration files & scripts, traceroute, Wireshark, tcpdump.
- Scripting: Bash, Perl, Python, or Ruby
- Virtualization: VM Ware
- Familiarity/experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
